Hello Pro-life Heroes,
Consider this a final push for your support for our 3rd Annual Links for Life Golf Outing on Friday, August 18. We need YOU to golf, sponsor, attend only for dinner, and invite your friends, family, church members, and ministers to join us as well. Ladies are most welcome, and we hope to have multiple ladies’ groups golf with us! To sign up as a foursome or individual to golf or to inquire about Sponsorship opportunities, e-mail Tim at tpruse@milifespan.org or call the office.
A second August event is Bowling for Life on Saturday, August 26 at 6 pm. Please join the Wayne Chapter for an evening of bowling, fellowship, and fun for all ages at Woodland Lanes in Livonia. For only $25, this low-cost evening out includes two games of bowling, a shoe rental, a pizza dinner with a soft drink included, a 50/50 raffle, and bowling prizes. Children under 18 are only $20. This will be a great opportunity to learn about LIFESPAN’s upcoming programs for 2023-24 and meet LIFESPAN staff including our new Wayne Youth Director Kathryn Priddy. It is a great opportunity for a family fun night or a date night out for a great cause!
For reasons outside of the Wayne Chapter’s control, the Respect Life Raffle is unfortunately tabled for now. It may still happen later in the autumn, may be delayed until 2024, or may take a different form.
More information will come in the September Church Notes, but LIFESPAN’s biggest remaining event of 2023 is the 2023 Legislative Luncheon on Saturday, October 28. This year’s Luncheon will take place at Burton Manor in Livonia. Frank Pavone headlines and we expect tickets to go fast. We are working on finalizing contracts and determining pricing, but tickets should be on sale by the end of August at the latest. If you would like to reserve your seat as a much-appreciated Church Representative, minister, or church employee, please call Pam at the office at 734-422-6230 or e-mail wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org to reserve an early-bird ticket at your convenience. We are also finalizing a date and Livonia location for the 2023 CIDER Walk in late September or early October.
Finally, we conclude our 5-part Summer Adoption Series in these Church Notes. E-mail tpruse@milifespan.org with any feedback you may have about the adoption series or the format of running topical series at various times of the year.4
