Hello Pro-life Heroes,
Thank you for any and all efforts you have made on behalf of LIFESPAN and on behalf of the preborn, pregnant women, mothers in need, aged, disabled, trafficked, and all innocent human life during 2025. You are always in our prayers and please keep LIFESPAN staff in your prayers.
All Church Representatives are invited to join us online for a Church Rep Zoom Meeting on Wednesday, December 10 at 7:00pm. The goal is simply to listen to you the Church Reps about what is working well, what can be improved, and how we can increase pro-life participation. Thank you to those who offered LIFESPAN Christmas Cards for sale this year. As of mid-November, the entire stock of Christmas Cards is out on consignment save 120 of the large cards from 2024 (the beige Holy Family design). The Oakland/Macomb Chapter has the same progress, so the new 2025 cards seem popular. Hopefully “10 cards for $10” is a winning slogan and makes life easy for you. Board Member Mary Jo Hodge made up beautiful Christmas mugs stuffed with candy to supplement cards. These were offered for $10 at a couple pilot churches. If that sounds like something that would interest your church members in 2026, please let the Chapter Office know. This initiative is a response to the reality that most younger families either print their own family photo-cards or send e-cards but may still want to support the cause of life.
Wayne Chapter conducting a can and bottle drive in January. If you are like me, you have a plethora of cans to return after Christmas and New Year’s. We would like to offer people a chance to avoid the hassle of returning cans to the store while supporting the cause of life. This will be discussed during the Church Rep Zoom Meeting. Please let us know if your church would like to participate.
Thank you as well to those who attended the Michigan March for Life at the State Capitol on November 6. LIFESPAN’s bus trip was successful, and attendees witnessed excellent speakers, support from State legislators, many high school groups, and pro-life champions from across the state. We sent five buses including fifty young ladies St. Catherine of Siena Academy in Wixom. However, it was disappointing how few churches from Wayne County had any presence at the March. We had to cancel three bus locations due to apathy among local pro-lifers. Voting pro-life is necessary, but certainly not sufficient, to restore a Culture of Life in Michigan and America. We urge you to attend the next Michigan March for Life in November 2027.
WISHING YOU A BLESSED DECEMBER AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Yours for LIFE,
Timothy Pruse
Wayne County Chapter Director
