September 2025

Hello Pro-life Heroes,

As children begin to return to school, football returns, and the Tigers attempt to wrap up a division title, September is already on the doorstep. September also means vital LIFESPAN and pro-life events will quickly arrive, particularly during Respect Life Month this October.

Events highlighted in September Church Notes:

LIFESPAN Pickleball Tournament (Saturday, September 20 @1:00pm, Livonia)

Pro-Life Legislative Breakfast (Saturday, October 18 @9:00am, St. Genevieve-St. Maurice Activity Center, Livonia): Learn about human trafficking in our community from Karen Moore and lived experience guest Irene Faziani, both of Sanctum House, and breaking legislative updates from a sitting U.S. or State Representative. Register today at https://rtllifespan.regfox.com/2025-pro-life-legislative-breakfast.

CIDER Walk (Saturday, October 4 @12:30pm, St. Rafka Maronite Church, Livonia)

WeeCare Giving Tree Letter: Karen’s annual appeal for churches to consider helping WeeCare materially support Wayne Co. mothers and babies through your Christmas Giving Tree programs.

40 Days for Life Fall 2025 campaign (September 24-November 2): 38 Planned Parenthood abortionists have permanently closed already in 2025 around the nation. www.40daysforlife.com lists Ferndale, Ann Arbor, Westland, and Eastpointe as active local campaigns. It is vital in 2025 for us to have no fear, be prayer warriors in public, and pray specifically for the closing of your local abortionist!

Visit our website https://milifespan.org to view flyers and information about these events:

National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children (Saturday, September 13): LIFESPAN hosts a ceremony at 1:00pm at the gravesite of 5 aborted babies at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

Life Chain (Afternoon of Sunday, October 5): LIFESPAN promotes this prayerful nationwide event at over 30 locations throughout Metro Detroit. Specific times vary by location. As always, the Chapter has official Life Chain signs to use at your location. Call our office at 734-422-6230 or email wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org to reserve sufficient signs for your location.

Michigan March for Life (Thursday, November 6, State Capitol, Lansing): Reserve your free seat on one of LIFESPAN’s 7 buses headed to this Statewide pro-life rally. Register at https://righttolifelifespan.regfox.com/lifespan-michigan-march-for-life-bus-trip.

LIFESPAN will host an educational table at the free Livonia Corn Roast at Bicentennial Park on Sunday, September 7 from 11:30am-3:00pm. Stop by and say hello!

Yours for LIFE,

Timothy Pruse

Wayne County Chapter Director
