Hello Pro-life Heroes,

Thanks to everyone for your feedback regarding Father’s Day. We hear you loud and clear and are aware that several of the chocolate bar favorites advertised on the outside of the Barton’s boxes were not actually present in the boxes or not present in sufficient numbers. These issues have been addressed with the Sales Representative who has worked with us for many years for Father’s Day chocolate bars. The Chapter will explore all options for next year, including going with a different supplier or offering a different line of products.

There was a disappointing response rate from candidates for our July Primary Election Candidate Survey newsletter. If you are politically minded or knowledgeable about the candidates in YOUR district, we need YOUR help for the October General Election Candidate Survey newsletter! Our staff put in many hours to update the questionnaire for 2024, research candidate contact information, and send the questionnaire out to candidates across all of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. We do our best, but our staff simply does not have the manpower to follow up with that quantity of candidates. The majority of candidates, even pro-life candidates, failed to return this questionnaire. Wayne Chapter is seeking volunteers to make follow-up phone calls to general election candidates in August and September. We also encourage you to contact the candidates in your district and tell them to earn your vote you would like them to respond to the RTL-LIFESPAN Candidate Survey by September 18.

Please help us to put out a last call in your community to sign up for golf, food, and fellowship at LIFESPAN’s 4th Annual Links for Life Charity Golf Outing on Friday, August 30 at Fellows Creek Golf Club in Canton. Sign up a golf foursome, join us as a dinner guest, or sponsor a hole! See the flier in this newsletter for details and register TODAY! We need registrations submitted no later than Thursday, August 22.

Finally, a couple of Save the Date notices. In these Church Notes, you will find the first version of the flier for CIDER Walk. CIDER Walk will be Saturday, September 28 from 12-2pm at St. Aidan Church in Livonia. We are finalizing a facility and keynote speaker, but the 2024 Pro-Life Legislative Luncheon will be either Saturday, October 12 or Saturday, October 19. The 2024 program will focus on the current threat to legalize euthanasia in Michigan. State Rep. James DeSana will return this year to offer legislative updates on euthanasia and end-of-life issues emanating from Lansing.

Viva la Vida! Ask Pro-aborts to Describe what they Defend!

Yours for LIFE,

     Timothy Pruse

     Wayne County Chapter Director
