Hello Pro-life Heroes,
Thank you to all Church Reps and volunteers who helped to make our Mother’s Day Flower fundraiser successful once again! Thank you to St. Michael and St. Linus for hosting recent Baby Bottle campaigns. Thank you to St. Sabina and St. Genevieve/St. Maurice for inviting their entire communities to sign on as pro-life supporters in LIFESPAN’s 2025 Resource Book. Finally, thank you to all who attended the 2025 Celebration of Life Dinner or supported it in any way!!!
The new 2025 Resource Books were distributed at our Dinner and are available in the Chapter Office. They are chalk full of updated, credible information about abortion, pregnancy help centers, assisted suicide, euthanasia, IVF, adoption, human trafficking, and more. Call 734-422-6230 for a complimentary Resource Book for your church, organization, doctor, or yourself.
Please see the Father’s Day Chocolate Order Form in these Church Notes to honor the fathers in your community. This year, we offer name-brand chocolate bars including Hershey’s, Hershey’s with Almonds, Kit Kat, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Orders are due no late than June 4.
My name is Andrew Slonina, and I am the “new hire.” It is with all humbleness and eagerness that I enter this journey and mission with all of you. While I have been “on scene” for just over a month it is clear this is where I am meant to be. I am the proud son of Walter and Cecilia Slonina and the youngest of six. My work history has taken me from retail, bookkeeping, accounting, marketing, fundraising and the most recent and proud line item on my resume is at home caregiver for my parents. It was a gift and pleasure to be able to care for my parents at their journeys’ end. My life is rooted right here in Livonia beginning with grade school at St. Michael the Archangel – of which our family has been at for 68 years and I am still attending. I am an active Knight of Columbus in the 4th Degree. LIFESPAN’s mission has been part of my life from my earliest memories. From the late 70’s, I remember seeing my mom sitting at the kitchen table and making calls at election time (green and white lined huge paper dot matrix printouts with names and numbers). I walked the picket line as a young kid with my mom outside clinics in Livonia. We did what we could back then and walked alongside Lynn Mills in doing so. Ironically, the circle is complete as I am here and continuing the fight in any capacity I can. I have already met so many fantastic warriors. Wow, you folks are busy! Call or stop in – I would love to meet you. Be well and God Bless! -Andrew “Andy” Slonina, Wayne Chapter Office Manager
