Hi Everyone
Well, yes, I said and wanted warm weather, and we surely did get it!! I am complaining mind, but it sure is “warm”!
First and most importantly IF YOU STILL HAVE CARNATION AND/OR CANDY MONEY, PLEASE SEND IT TO THE OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
The office is usually pretty quiet during these summer months, which allows us to prepare for things like the bus trip (we have two this year, Lansing and Washington DC) Christmas cards, our dinner and so on. If any of you have an idea of who you would like as a speaker, or an event or want to schedule a meeting please let us know.
There is a great deal of reporting in our country on how, or if, or when the US should respond to international incidents. This is not the place for such a discussion, but with the 4th of July just around the corner, it IS a good time for each of us to pray that our nation, the international community and the world in general know peace and work diligently to keep and preserve it.
During the summer months, many faith communities establish plans for the coming Fall and for their education programs. Keep in mind that it would be a really good time to schedule our Christmas Cards and White Cross Display and get Mother’s Day carnations and Father’s Day candy on the calendar.
