Hello, Pro-life Heroes
A special thanks to all those Church Representatives and volunteers who have helped or will help us to mail out our Wayne County Chapter 2021 Annual Appeal mailing. The mailing is going to nearly 4500 people which is a much larger audience than anything LIFESPAN has done in recent memory. Thanks in advance for your generous support as well.
An updated Bowling for Life event flier is included as well. Bowling for Life takes place on Sunday, August 8 and is a fun outreach and fellowship event for all ages! Attendance is actually offered at cost for children under 18, so come bowl with us and bring the kids and grandkids! Please note the change of time from the original flier. Due to a scheduling conflict with our host bowling alley, the event time is now 4-6pm. Attendance is $25 for adults and only $15 for children. These Church Notes also include the latest version of the LIFESPAN Links for Life Golf Outing flier and also a registration form. Please consider joining us for golf or sponsoring the event on behalf of your parish, community, organization, or business. Links for Life is on September 13.
Most importantly, we issue a plea for all Church Representatives to consider speaking to another pro-life supporter within your church community about becoming an Assistant Rep. The bulletin note for August 14-15 asks interested individuals to step forward. We are thankful of a few churches with multiple Church Reps and situations when others have generously stepped in for an ailing or out-of-town Church Rep. For the continuation of LIFESPAN’s pro-life mission in your church community and our local area, we ask that all of you invite another community member or members to learn the role of Church Representative and assist you. This will benefit you with additional help for projects such as Mother’s Day, Christmas Cards, and submitting our weekly notes into your church bulletin. It will also free you to go on vacation, care for an ailing relative, or recuperate yourself without worry that your church will go without a LIFESPAN voice present. If you are still unsure of any probable candidates, speak with your pastor or a ministry worker who may know of a community member who would be good in the role. It will benefit LIFESPAN by adding new pro-life messengers. It will also ensure that this important work for human dignity from conception until natural death will carry on in the generations to come.
