Hi Folks,
I love the sun, I love the warm weather but I could sure do without the daily thunderstorms, and so could my poor dog!
I am sorry this is so late this month, but I was out of the office for a few days—both my sons came to visit and they, along with my daughter, and I had lots to catch up on. I am blessed!
There is a saying attributed to any number of people so I don’t know exactly know where it really came from, but it says is it is both a blessing and a curse and goes like this, “May you live in interesting times”. Well, we sure are doing that right now! I will not go all political here, but I thank God the assassin’s bullet missed.
There is something I would like you to keep in mind, and, if the opportunity arises for you, express this thought to others. Have you noticed that those who support abortion hardly ever say the word. “Right to choose”, Reproductive Rights, Women’s Rights, bodily control, and on and on. Next time someone says Reproductive Right to you, as gently as you can, ask them if they realize that people, particularly politicians, who use those words, are supporting abortion with no limits, no restrictions, no medical necessity, not even who can or cannot perform them. They won’t like it—”reproductive rights” sounds so much more inclusive. Inclusive that is, except for the child who will soon be excluded!
Please be thinking about your Christmas card orders. I am in the beginning stages of card selection right now.
If Lifespan were to have an information table at the State Fair, or county or city fairs in 2025, would any of you consider staffing such a table. The commitment is usually for 4 hours and there would always be two people on a shift at a time.
Don’t be discouraged by the lack of responses to the questions on our Candidate Survey—the silence of those who can’t take the time to reply tells us a lot about them.
Love Life!! Diane
