Wayne Oct 2021

Hello, Pro-life Heroes

As most of you know, October is Respect Life Month. LIFESPAN offers many opportunities for everyone to take action to promote a culture that respects life from conception until natural death. Whatever your state in life, now is the time to take action.

First, the 34th Annual Life Chain takes place on Sunday, October 3 from 2:00-3:30pm. Be sure to attend and share the flier inside these notes with your family, friends, and community. No matter where you are in Metro Detroit, there is a Life Chain host nearby! See the flier for more details.

LIFESPAN’s annual Dinner/Auction with special guest speakers Diamond and Silk takes place on Tuesday, October 12 at the San Marino Club in Troy. The dinner has a waiting list, so be sure to attend if you have a reservation confirmed through the Oakland/Macomb Chapter.

Join us as our Chapter hosts the 2021 CIDER Walk for Life to celebrate Respect Life Month in October. CIDER stands for Children In-utero Deserve Equal Rights, plus we will serve cider and doughnuts following the walk. All participants also receive a CIDER Walk t-shirt. The walk is a non-competitive, all ages opportunity to witness for the right to life for all preborn children while exercising. This event will take place at Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill on Sunday, October 17 from 4-6pm. There is no better place for the CIDER Walk than a cider mill and Plymouth offers a family-friendly venue with a market store, pumpkin patch, petting zoo with friendly animals, hay bale maze, hay bale climb for young children, and more. We will set up inside the covered pavilion, so even if you are unable to walk or it is a rainy day, join us for food and fellowship! A local pro-life speaker will provide a brief educational update at this event. Call 734-244-6230, e-mail wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org, or visit www.milifespan.org for more details on this wonderful event!

Finally, calling all Church Representatives! Please call or email to provide feedback as to which date in November is better for you to attend an important Church Representative meeting: Sunday, November 14 or Saturday, November 20. Please reply no later than October 8 to allow us sufficient time for planning. It has been a long time since the last such meeting and we need all hands on deck to discuss any areas where we can support each other.

Our creator endowed us with the right to life and yet millions of unborn children lose their right to life every year because of abortion.”

–Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas upon recently signing the innovative Texas Senate Bill 8 into law.

Yours in LIFE,
