Wayne Jul 2021

Hello, Pro-life Heroes

A special thanks to all those Church Representatives who put in the hard work for the Father’s Day chocolate bars and/or pens! Thanks also to Pastors who generously allowed LIFESPAN to offer the chocolate bars at your churches! As we did with Mother’s Day, make sure you churches are aware that we will be sending an official LIFESPAN Thank You to the pastors and church communities for participating in the Father’s Day campaign.

Please note that because of your efforts and the generosity of your churches, the Mother’s Day carnation donations exceeded our expectations. The feedback was extremely positive. Almost all the Church Representatives and Board members who communicated with us preferred the live carnations to the previous chocolate roses and silk flowers. We will make the process for hole-punching the LIFESPAN cards and preparing the ribbons easier for you next year, although you will still need to attach them to the carnations as the order arrives fresh on the Saturday morning prior to Mother’s Day.

We also have deep gratitude for all those who were able to attend the Pro-Life Legislative Luncheon on June 19 and to those who helped to publicize the event by including fliers in your church bulletins and posting or distributing fliers in your church. Please note that whether you attended and would like to be inspired again or missed out on the event but would like to be informed, the talks by Bob Dutko and State Sen. Lana Theis will be posted to www.milifespan.org very soon.

Another reminder to continue spreading the news far and wide in your communities about the LIFESPAN Links for Life Golf Outing. The flier is again included in the July Church Notes.

A new flier is included in the July Church Notes for our annual Bowling for Life event. It will be great to return to Woodland Lanes after missing out on this event due to the pandemic in 2020. It is a great event for the entire family and a perfect way to introduce children and adolescents to the pro-life movement in a fun atmosphere. To register for the event or offer to donate a small themed basket for the raffle, please call our office at 734-422-6230 or e-mail wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org.

Finally, as of June 22, the Chapter office moves to our Summer business hours. Throughout July and August, the office will be open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am-2pm.

Never tire of firmly speaking out in defense of life from its conception and do not be deterred from the commitment to defend the dignity of every human person with courageous determination. Christ is with you: be not afraid!” –St. John Paul II
