Hello Pro-life Heroes,

Continue to pray for Ohio that voters may reject Issue 1 this November which will do the same to them that the passage of Proposal 3 is doing to Michigan. Encourage people to visit the Protect Women Ohio website https://protectwomenohio.org and consider providing your time, talent, or treasure to help protect preborn lives in our neighboring state.

This is one last reminder that the 2023 Life Chain is on the afternoon of Sunday, October 1. Check our website https://milifespan.org for the constantly growing list of participating locations and times. For Life Chain signs, call or e-mail Pam at our Chapter office at 734-422-6230 or wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org to pick up signs for your location. We have ordered new “Pray to End Abortion” and “Life- The First Inalienable Right” signs for this year. In a piece of good news, bad news deal, the good is the new Life Chain signs have visible pro-life messages on both sides, with the bad being they no longer include the suggested prayers and songs as the older signs do.

Invite family, friends, and church members to participate in the 2023 CIDER Walk for Life on Saturday, October 7 from 1-3 p.m. at St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church in Livonia. Participants gather pledges or donate to LIFESPAN’s educational efforts and receive a CIDER Walk t-shirt, cup, cider, doughnuts, and camaraderie. This is the perfect pro-life event for families with children.

Tickets remain available for the 2023 Pro-Life Luncheon on Saturday, October 28. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the program begins at 10 a.m. with national pro-life leader Frank Pavone speaking around 10:15. Be sure to publicize the event flier and registration form on the insert in these notes. If you would like to attend, please download the registration form at https://milifespan.org and send it in or call Pam.

Finally, Christmas Card season is almost upon us! We have attractive new large and small cards on order as well as last year’s beautiful card designs in stock. As you know, this is an important fundraiser for our chapter and we appreciate all your amazing efforts in offering cards for sale at your church. It is also the perfect time to reach out and invite new volunteers to assist you this year. Christmas Cards should arrive by mid-to-late October and an updated ad showing off the new design will appear in the November Church Notes. Call or e-mail Pam to place your card orders and schedule a pick-up later in October. Large cards will sell for $16 and small cards for $8 this year.
