Wayne 11-2025

Hello Pro-life Heroes,

Great thanks to all of those who attended and helped spread the word about our Respect Life events in October! I’m sure you have noticed it is a very difficult time to encourage anyone, even devoted churchgoers, to join any groups, volunteer, or even simply show up for events. On top of this, outside of New York City, Chicago, and California I am not sure if there is a more pro-abortion locale than Metro Detroit today. Yet, Hope remains! You may not see it on a daily basis, but your efforts on behalf of innocent human life do matter and do make a difference!

LIFESPAN Wayne Chapter membership continues to slowly decline and something needs to be done about this! I have written this before but you as Church Representatives are LIFESPAN’s heart, pumping blood throughout our figurative Chapter body. LIFESPAN Staff and Board members would like to visit churches for a series of membership drives in 2026. You recipients of Church Notes are in your local community and we need you to suggest this idea to your pastor and church staff and to invite us! I am also a member of the Patients’ Rights Action Fund Michigan Alliance which focuses on combating assisted suicide and euthanasia. Given our aging population in Wayne County and the fact that those from across the political spectrum oppose legalizing assisted suicide, this may be an easier entry point than abortion. I am educating myself on the issue of assisted suicide with experts in the field, preparing a presentation, and willing to come speak to your church or organization in 2026. (This could be in conjunction with a membership drive or wholly separate.) I await an invitation from you!

We hope to see many of you at the Michigan March for Life at the State Capitol on November 6. As of now, seats remain on the free LIFESPAN bus leaving from St. Aidan, Livonia. Register at https://righttolifelifespan.regfox.com/lifespan-michigan-march-for-life-bus-trip.

Christmas Cards 2025: Christmas Cards have arrived. Call beginning Monday, October 27 to order cards for your church (or yourself). Images of the new 2025 cards are in these notes. We do also have both large and small cards available from our 2023 and 2024 inventories. All card packs will be sold for $10 for your convenience. 10 cards for $10 has a nice ring to it!

We remain in need of a church to pilot a secondary Christmas option as Christmas Cards continue to wane in popularity a bit more each year. We currently have great LIFESPAN long-sleeve t-shirts that could be offered for $20 on a limited basis, LIFESPAN Christmas mugs, or another option. Any ideas? Please share them with us! Call Andy to order cards at (734) 422-6230 or email wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org.

Yours for LIFE,
Timothy Pruse
Wayne County Chapter Director
