Hello Pro-life Heroes,
Our #1 priority remains to encourage our friends, family, parishioners, co-workers, acquaintances, and even those who typically say they are pro-choice to VOTE NO on PROPOSAL 3!!!
I know that a considerable number of you have sacrificed immense time and treasure over the past months to do everything within your power to see Proposal 3 defeated and the right to life upheld in Michigan. Know for certain all of you will be blessed by God for your efforts! We pray that we wake up on November 9 and find that Proposal 3 has gone down to a resounding defeat. The alternative would be tragic and an enormously tough pill to swallow. Politically, if Prop 3 passes there may be nothing of substance we can do in Michigan for a long time. Either way, our next mission is to create a Culture of Life! It will be of paramount importance to focus on providing help to mothers in need through supporting our local problem pregnancy centers and programs such as WeeCare which provide for the material needs of moms and babies in need. We can make abortion influenced by true material need unthinkable. It will also be necessary for LIFESPAN and pro-life organizations to find new ways to educate people about the science of the biology of human development in the womb and the moral necessity to care for the least of our brothers and sisters.
Turning to practical matters, the 2022 Christmas Card sales will feature stunningly beautiful new images for both large and small cards. We already have the cards available. Call 734-422-6230 or e-mail wcdr@rtl-lifespan.org to reserve Christmas Cards for your church or organization between now and the end of November. Speaking of Christmas traditions, we will mail the annual Lights for Life memorial letter in early November. Lights for Life funds are vital to the financial wellbeing of LIFESPAN after the expenditures we are making to fight Proposal 3. Weingartz in Farmington is undergoing major construction currently, but rest assured, we will still be able to stage the giant LIFESPAN Lights for Life Tree at a visible location on Weingartz property. We are always in need of volunteers able to provide the manual labor to assemble the tree.
Finally, we will mail the 2023 Membership Renewal and New Member Invitation letters soon as well. Please reply by December 31 to ensure your 2023 newsletter mailings and membership status are not disrupted. Churches can join as members free of charge. Individual memberships apply to the entire household and are only $20 a year for Students and Seniors over 55 and only $30 a year for everyone else. You can also order a LIFESPAN Gift Membership for a non-member in your life for only $12.
