Ok—school is starting, everyone is busy and so are we! Personally, I was busy mopping up from our storm this weekend and praying that our power would be restored quickly—took 18 hours, but we have lights! I would have made a lousy pioneer!
First of importance, the petition drive—hopefully you are all doing the petition drive at your faith communities. If not, and you want to, we have petitions here in the office I can send you.
Don’t forget the Day of Remembrance on Sept 14th at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. We begin at 1:00pm. I have attached a flyer.
The next day, Sept 15th, is the Walk for Life, sponsored by our Livonia office. Sumac Pointe Pavilion, 37401 Hines Dr, Hines Park, Livonia. I have attached a flyer. For information call the Livonia office, 734-422-6230
Upcoming are the Michigan Nurses Conference on Oct 19th and the LIFESPAN annual breakfast also on the 19th. Flyers for both are attached.
Now, we have a knotty problem to solve. For those of you who offered Christmas cards last year, you know it was not exactly a banner year! We have LOTS!!! of cards from the last 3 years on hand. Do you think that if we did not order new designs this year, folks would be interested in buying cards from previous years at a cost of $15.00 instead of $17.00?? I really don’t know what to do. The Livonia office is not getting cards this year and is selling their on hand stock instead. So, if cards are ordered, I will have to order fewer than usual, which means they will cost more to print. I feel like we are stuck in a Catch 22 and I really need your input on this. Please respond to this email with your suggestions. We really need your input.
Bus Trip registration begins this month (Sept 1 through Oct 31st). Please see attached flyer and make sure your youth minister sees it too.
There is also a flyer for the annual Wee Care appeal. Please try and get this into the hands of your Christian Service folks and the bulletin editor. Hopefully, we can refill our supplies by way of the annual giving trees.
As you all can see, we are really busy with pro-life opportunities for everyone!
