LIFESPAN OAKLAND/MACOMB REPRESENTATIVE MEMO: SEPTEMBER 2018
Hi Folks!
Ok so it is rather warm and muggy—remember this in January and February when we are all shoveling snow!
Seriously, I hope that everyone is having a good last few days of summer and if anyone has youngsters going back to school that they have a good, fulfilling year.
First thing—remember the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. LIFESPAN will be remembering the babies that are buried at White Chapel. For those who don’t know, LIFESPAN, with the assistance of White Chapel, and Desmond Funeral Directors buried the remains of 5 babies lost to abortion in the late ‘70s. The simple head stone reads, Five Unborn Children of God. Join us and remember these babies, and their moms, on September 8th at 1:00pm. There will be directions to the site at the entrance to the cemetery which is on Long Lake Rd, between Coolidge and Crooks Rds.
Second thing—Christmas cards!!! Yes, they are ordered, are a being printed as this memo is being written and will be here soon. There is a sample of both cards attached to this message. The order sheet is also attached. If you have not offered cards to your faith community before, call us and we can get you started.
Third thing—Michigan Nurses for Life conference is on Sept 15th at St. Joseph Hospital on Woodward in Pontiac. Our guest speaker is Dr. George Delgado, the developer of the protocol for the Abortion Reversal Pill—yes, if done quickly, a woman who changes her mind after she takes the abortion pill can save her baby. This conference is open to all. Please call the Educational Center for Life, 248-816-1546 for reservations, or call the LIFESPAN office, 248-816-1546.
Fourth thing—we are in really desperate need of someone who will become our White Cross Coordinator. This requires mostly phone calling to schedule the cross display at the various churches. It would only be approximately 3-4 hours a month but would be incredibly helpful to us here in the office. If you know of anyone, please ask them to call.
Fifth thing—the 2019 Movement in Motion Bus Trip to Washington DC is starting the registration process on. Please be sure that your youth ministers know about it. There is a flyer attached to this message that you can share.
And as always, the other thing is our thanks to all of you who offer your time and talents to make LIFESPAN able to be the voice for those who have none.
