LIFESPAN OAKLAND/MACOMB REPRESENTATIVE MEMO: JUNE 2018
Hi Everyone,
Ok, we have managed to string together 2 nice days!!!! May it please continue.
The Celebrate Life Dinner was great fun! Our comedian Jeff Dean found a funny bone to tickle in each of us. We hope those of you who attended had a nice time.
There were lots of smiles around town as a record number of moms received our “Thanks Mom, for Life” carnations. A big thank you to all of you who slogged out in the rain on Sat. morning and picked up the flowers, put the tags on them and offered them to all the Moms. The weather had cleared a little by late afternoon and Sunday was not too bad. That might account for all the flowers that were distributed.
Father’s Day is next. I sent out the order form for the Candy Bars, but am attaching it to this email one more time in case yours was misplaced.
We will start our summer hours here in the office on the first of June. So the hours on our recorder will be as follows: Monday and Friday 9-12 (of course that is Diane T.’s hours), Tuesday 8-3, Wednesday 8-2:30. And, whenever Lynn is working a Thursday, she will adjust the recorder to reflect that. If you need to reach us outside of these hours call me on my cell phone, 248-561-6197.
We need to replenish our “ribbons and tags” for next year’s carnations so if you have bored children or grandchildren hanging around the house saying they have nothing to do during the summer months, give us a call. We can also use this activity for service hours required by schools and churches.
