Hi Folks,
Well, we have turned our clocks forward and that is supposed to be a sign of spring. Pessimist that I am, I await the next snow fall!
I have attached the Carnation Order Form to this email. I have heard from several of you that will be offering carnations to the moms in your faith communities (HALLELUJAH) but not everyone has responded. Please check and see if you can do it this year. We all need something bright and fresh to lift our spirits.
The various pieces of legislation being passed in Washington DC make it look like our efforts to protect and defend human life will be more much more difficult. While it sometimes seems like a wasted effort, don’t forget to let your elected officials, state and federal, know how you feel about the effects of some of this legislation. It is best to email these individuals because their USPS mail is heavily screened. Go to your senator or representative’s website and you will find contact information. Be respectful and clear, but make your voice heard. Encourage others to do so too. It does make a difference.
Some of you may not know that we receive extra newsletters with each issue. If your faith community has space and would like some copies to have on hand anyone interested, just let us know and we will get them to you.
We hope that the third time is the charm because we have had to postpone our Celebrate Life! dinner once again. The new date is Oct 12, 2021. We consulted with the folks at San Marino and our boards and determined that this would be in our best interest. Diamond and Silk have been very gracious and have agreed to change the date also so they will still be our speakers. We will be contacting all who have already reserved and asking if they want to commit to the new date and then we will keep a “wait list” for those who are not registered but might like to come on this new date. Thank you for your patience with us as we try to work our way around this rather confusing time.
If you have a pro-life event at your faith community, please send us pictures!! We will put them in our newsletter. Folks love to see prolife action—in action!!!
Restrictions on numbers of people able to gather has caused us to not have our usual Volunteer Luncheon this year. Please know that even if we can’t get together you are all greatly appreciated. Without all of your efforts, we could not function. Blessings on all of you!!!
Love Life!
Diane and Lynn
