February 2016 – LIFESPAN Youth Mailing

Hello everyone who is receiving and opening up this Youth Mailing e-mail!

It has been a very long time since I wrote to you and sent you any pro-Life news or local happenings that you can read about, share, and/or participate in!

The planning for the 2016 “Movement in Motion” Youth Bus Trip took a lot of time and attention in October, November, December and January.  Now it is almost the middle of February and I am finally getting out from under all the bus trip paperwork to take a little time to give you an update!

March for Life January 22, 2016 #2

Our Youth Bus Trip did not happen this year due to the severe weather that descended upon Washington, DC and several others states.  We would have been stranded on the PA turnpike that was shut down or we would have been stranded in DC with no host churches for our buses: PA Turnpike Closes between Breezewood and New Stanton to Aid in Rescue Efforts

It was a huge disappointment for all of us, but we are looking ahead to 2017 and have started the planning for the next “Movement in Motion” Youth Bus Trip.  I will keep you posted on what LIFESPAN has to offer you and your siblings and friends, your parish/church groups, and your school/college groups! Look in future e-mails for the “save the date” announcement and details!

There are fliers attached for upcoming LIFESPAN events/activities like the Celebration of Life Dinner and Silent Auction on May 3rd in Troy, the Resource Book Advertising Contract (in case your school, parish or pro-life group would like to come up with an ad to put in), the Photo Ad information and the LIFESPAN Patron Ad .

In addition there are several locations for Baby Showers that will take place on Sunday, March 6th.  These showers benefit local pregnancy help centers.

I am also including a save the date notice from the pro-Life youth group called “Building Bridges to a Culture of Life” who will be hosting their 10th annual Youth Conference that will take place on April 9th at Mercy High School in Farmington.  I am planning on attending this event and will have a vendor table there.  Please stop by and say hi!

Save the Date

And, finally, there is a Dance to the Beat event coming up at the end of the month in Royal Oak.  It is being hosted by a group called ProLife Youth.

Dance to the beat

Have a good rest of the month!
