Dear Pastors, Youth Leaders and Church Representatives:

Enclosed you will find the August Church Notes, Pro-Life Breakfast Flier, $10,000 Raffle Flier, CIDER Walk information and the National Day of Remembrance flier.

We are excited to announce that our chapter office will be moving.  We will be just around the corner from our current office.  As a cost-saving measure, we are moving into the same building as the Main Office/Wee Care.  Our new address will be: 32540 Schoolcraft Rd., Suite 210, Livonia, MI 48150-4305. The office building is on the corner of Schoolcraft and Brookfield, between Merriman and Farmington Rds. We will be on the second floor, but there is an elevator available and the space is great! We will be in the new office by the end of August. Be sure to come and check out our new space in September!

Did you like the cards with the quick response to pro-aborts?  Was that information useful for you?  Are there other things that your parish might benefit from receiving: brochures, bookmarks, etc.?  If there is anything that we can do to support your pro-life efforts in your faith community, please contact us!

UPCOMING EVENTS: we hope that you can participate in some, if not all:

  • Pro-Life Jeopardy!  The registration deadline has passed, but if anyone is interested, please contact our office.  Scholarships are still available to families who want to attend this FUN event! Prizes are available for winners!
  • Pro-Life Breakfast! Join us on September 12th for our Annual Pro-Life Breakfast.  Speaker and location are being finalized, so save the date and watch for additional information!  Pastors are invited to attend free (our chapter will pick up the cost)! Just call our office to reserve your spot!
  • National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children: After attending LIFESPAN’s Pro-Life Breakfast, feel free to join us at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy for a brief memorial service honoring the five pre-born babies who were given a proper burial by LIFESPAN back in 1980.  The service will start at 2 PM and everyone is welcome to attend!
  • Entertainment Books: Our pre-sale will soon be starting for E-Books. The cost will be $30 for the bundle of Premier Dining Booklet and 2016 Coupon Entertainment Books. This is a decrease in price from last year and you can get some really great deals at local restaurants, stores, travel agencies and services.
  • CIDER Walk! Join other pro-lifers on September 27th at Starr Jaycee Park in Royal Oak.  Walk, eat doughnuts, drink cider and have fun!  Can’t wait to see everyone there!
  • LIFE Chain 2015 You will soon be receiving registration forms for the annual LIFE Chain that is happening on October 4th; be sure to fill out and return the registration, so that your LIFE Chain and Church are listed on all of advertising that LIFESPAN does for this event.
  • $10k Raffle: Want to win $10,000 dollars?  Be sure to get your ticket for a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000.  The drawing will take place May 3, 2016 at our annual dinner, but you don’t have to be present to win!  Make sure to let people know about this opportunity!
  • Proposed Casino Trip: We are considering a bus trip to Motor City Casino in October.  It would happen on a Tuesday or Wednesday.  A Blue Lakes Charter bus would pick us up in Livonia (7 Mile and Farmington Rds. In the K-Mart parking lot) and make another stop for east siders (probably at 12 mile and John R near the old K-Mart), and then take us to the casino.  The cost would be $40.00, but the casino gives each participant $30.00 in free gaming money.  We would have to stay for 5 hours.  Sounds like a long time but if any of you are casino goers, you know how fast that time goes.  There are a variety of restaurants at the casino—everything from a coffee shop to a deli to a full buffet.  Meals are on your own.  We would be returned to the same locations where we were picked up. What are your thoughts? Do you think that your community would like to participate in this event that benefits LIFESPAN?  Please call/email our office and let us know your thoughts!  WE NEED YOUR INPUT!

If you need additional copies of anything, please contact our office; we would be happy to provide you with copies.

Yours in LIFE,

Eileen Brandt

Director, Wayne County/Downriver Chapter
