LIFESPAN REPRESENTATIVE MEMO: SEPTEMBER 2017

Hi Folks,

It is hard to believe that our summer months are drawing to a close.  Some of us are still holding out for some warm days in September, but the leaves are already turning.

With fall, our quiet days in the office come to a close and our activities begin again.

First thing to know about is the National Day of Remembrance of the Unborn on September 9th.  I have attached a flier about this event as well as a newspaper article explaining how it came about.  Please post the flyer but the article is for your information and not meant to be posted.  It just gives some background about the babies that LIFESPAN will be remembering on Sept. 9th at White Chapel Cemetery.  The hour that we spend there is very special and we hope that you will be able to join us.

Thanks to all those who helped out at the Book Sale.  The books that were sold make us better able to display the ones that are left.

Also this month is the Walk for Life in Livonia on the 10th.  I have attached a flier for this as well.  I know it is a distance for some of you to travel but this is a great way to involve the whole family in a pro-life activity.

On the 29th of September, we have a great event for young people being held at SS Cyril and Methodius church in Sterling Heights.  Audrey Nitzel the reginal coordinator for Student for Life of America will be speaking on how today’s young people can abolish abortion.  The movie Voiceless will be shown. See flier.

On Saturday, October 7th, Michigan Nurses will hold their annual conference with guest speaker Nancy Valko from the National Association of Pro-Life Nurses will be speaking on Euthanasia and Jason Negri, from the Patients Rights council will speak on the erosion of our religious liberties when it comes to “aid in dying” or Euthanasia. See flier.

Entertainment books are available.

Last but not least —-Christmas Cards have been selected and are ordered!!!!  If you are not already on your faith community’s schedule for a date to offer the cards, don’t delay.  Attached you will find a mock up picture of both cards. NOTE: this is not the finished product, it is just a sample of what they will look like.  I have also attached an order form for the cards.  As soon as you know that you will be doing the cards and/or when you have a date, please return the form to the office.(I was only able to send a copy of the small card—I will send a copy of the big card on Friday—sorry)

Registration for the Washington DC bus trip begins September 1 and extends through October 15.  As always, it is first come first served and when our buses are full, we will start a wait list.

DON’T FORGET LIFE CHAIN ON OCTOBER 1ST. See flier.

There—is that enough to keep everyone busy for a while??  It certainly is for us here in the office.  Our goal is that all of our projects and activities will raise awareness of the need to protect the most vulnerable of our human family and your help, and the participation of your faith community, is essential to that goal.

Love Life!

Diane and Lynn
